Hiya people! I had my haircut last Thursday, crew cut I suppose. Thank goodness the first week of classes was OK, still a little adjustment on my sked.
Finally Okami is out and I had the opportunity to play it for the first time, and I must say this game is WOW! The graphics are visually stunning and the gameplay is wonderful. As of this writing I'm seven hours in the game and still having fun enjoying the task of restoring Nippon back to its peaceful glory, haha! Don't miss this game if you own a PS2, believe me, Okami is pure gaming goodness.
Oh, Jose Paris wants a Tickle Me Elmo TMX! Jose Paris finds TMX toy cute and fun! Can someone give Jose Paris a TMX toy for Christmas? Hello Santa? XD
I had this weird dream last night, the dream was that I saw a friend of mine doing something terrible. My former high school classmate (no more communication with her) tries to steal my things from my knapsack (she didn't notice that I'm aware of what she's doing.) In my dream I was very angry and raging with fury and I tried to approach her, she admits doing the crime. 'Cause I can't believe that my classmate can do something like that, in reality I've known her as being quiet and kind. I guess the lesson is don't trust anyone that easily, even a friend can betray and do some serious s**t to you.
Two Scenarios:
Thirty-four years ago, Marcos placed the entire Philippines under Martial Law. He ruled the country by decree, and extended his tenure by force. The people saw that his authoritarian rule became marred with unmitigated, pervasive corruption, cronyism and despotism. He lifted Martial Law in 1981 but he remained as president after the elections on that year.
Last Tuesday, the world saw a coup d'etat launched by the Royal Thai Army against the government of Thailand Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra. The Southeast Asian country had experienced a political crisis that involved Thaksin and his opponents. The Constitution was abolished, cancelled the upcoming elections, and Martial Law was imposed.
I'm into watching reality TV shows again. The other day, I watched the 90-minute season premiere of The Amazing Race 10, the last season that I watched was the fifth one, where Philippines was one of the stopover countries. The show was nice because Beijing was their first destination outside US, and the teams were interesting, too. I'm rooting for Duke & Lauren (father-daughter) and Peter & Sarah (dating couple)
After playing hours of Sudoku and Kakuro, here comes Nurikabe, another simple yet fun and quirky logic game. Your objective is to determine whether each of the cells of the grid is "black" or "white". The numbers on the grid will serve as your clue. It's quite tricky at first but once you know the rules you can start answering simple puzzles with ease. You can play a simple Nurikabe puzzle here. For more help you can read the Nikoli tutorial on Nurikabe (Note: Nikoli is a Japanese publisher of logic games that made Sudoku and Kakuro popular.)
Words that keep me on pondering: "Exercise your rights!" Oh well, this is a free world after all.
I'm writing this blog right here at a nearby Internet cafe in my school. I was able to play GunBound (finally), and do some browsing. The first day in class was rather quiet and somewhat boring. I have a different sked this trimester: every MWF I had to wait for three gruesome vacant hours for my next subject. Good thing is I don't have classes on Saturdays. How I wish I can get used to it soon enough.
Are you familiar with lonelygirl15? She's becoming popular these days, though her vlog was purely fictional. Nothing against her, she is definitely a star for her role.
The other day I accidentally twitched my neck, caused me some pain. I'm OK now thank heavens. What has gotten into me? I don't intend to injure myself, oh well.
I'm currently listening to Justin Timberlake's sophomore album, FutureSex/LoveSounds on my digital audio player. Love the album, the songs are very sensual, sexy and "infectious." My favorite tracks are SexyBack, My Love, and What Goes Around.../...Comes Around (Interlude).

Oh well, another school term is about to start (second to the last before graduation), so probably I won't be able to post something here (again) regularly, but I'll try to keep you guys informed from time to time.
Lately I'm trying to edit some articles on the biggest, ever-expanding, open reference encyclopedic source in the face of the Internet, Wikipedia. Maybe you've heard this already, but if you need to know something, I'm pretty sure Wikipedia can be of great help. What makes this online reference so unique is the ability to contribute and edit articles. Most of my contributions are Philippine-related articles, such as Metro Manila, Philippine peso, and Southeast Asian Games.
Oh I can't wait for me to play Okami, one of PS2's highly anticipated games of the year! Just four more days before release date, all I can do is to drool over this trailer video:
Due to much curiosity, I tried using MyHeritage's celebrity face recognition tool, wondering if I ever resemble a famous person. I was surprised to see the results! Can't believe I'm 67% Jericho Rosales-like and 58% Juelz Santana-ish! ROFL! :D
Here are some clips of the 2006 UAAP Cheerdance Competition held last Sunday (courtesy of YouTube user Disharmony) UST Salinggawi Dance Troupe gets the overall championship for the fifth straight year. FEU placed second and UP, third. Congratulations to this year's winners!

At last I finished making my new logo! I want to rebrand, something that is simple to implement yet modern looking, while retaining my previous concepts.
Let's see, I'm wearing my decade-old digital wrist watch, setting aside my present day Swatch timepiece. I found it while I was looking for my cluttered stuff in my room (can't believe I haven't thrown it.) Though it has a few scratches, I'm surprised to see that it's still working.
Brain games are increasingly becoming popular these days, talk about Sudoku, Kakuro, Brain Age, Big Brain Academy, etcetera. I play Brain Challenge (by Gameloft) through my mobile phone, a perfect example of brain training mobile game. It features several minigames for you to solve; logic, math, visual and memory. There's even a brain chart to track your progress in the daily brain test. I would recommend this game to everyone.
I'm so hooked on video game music lately, it brings out a blissful kinda feeling everytime I hear them, any platform, any genre. They're full of emotion and character, each tell a different kind of story, also remind you how good (or bad) the game itself was. Music in video games can also influence the game's market sales. A good place to start listening is at GamingFM and RPGFan Internet Radio. Here's a YouTube video (by bmh1) featuring some classic 8-bit video game music performed by Video Games Live orchestra.
Ouch, I had blisters on my right foot, 'coz my newly bought pair of slippers were not that good. Not because I had a humongous feet, the slippers' contours don't conform exactly. Lesson: don't judge a pair of sandals by its striking design and cheap price, go for comfort DOOD! XD
For no reason at all I dunno why I suddenly remembered this artist and this single, it keeps on playing in my mind recently... (YouTube video by SOF88)
I really hate to say this, but I'm so pissed off everytime I hear someone who makes some annoying, loud noises from their bodies. I'm talking 'bout explosive flatulence, ear-screeching snores and blaring burps. Oh gawd, I just can't take it.
Change topic.
On to RPGs again. Disgaea 2: Cursed Memories features solid strategy role-playing that will keep you busy for lotsa hours! Love the anime-style character designs and the gameplay mechanics.
Xenosaga Episode III: Also sprach Zarathustra's fast-paced battle system, interesting storyline and top-notch graphics makes it a nice conclusion of Namco Bandai's brilliant RPG series.
Today is the 2006 FIBA World Championship Gold Medal Match between Greece and Spain, the US Team got the bronze. For the record, both teams' best finish was fourth place (twice for Greece in 1994 and 1998, Spain once in 1982.)
Yesterday's Philippine Idol 1st Performance Night was a show mixed with the good and the not-so good, though I must give credit for ABC for the effort. I'm not comparing the show to American Idol, but I believe there's plenty more to improve, especially the technical part. Unlike AI, PI has a different process of picking its Final 12. Tonight the results will determine the four contestants (Boys) will make it to the Top 12, the remaining eight will compete for the two wild card spots. Next week the Ladies will perform.
BTW, after doing some web investigation, I learned something, regarding my previous post. One of the pop station songs from Sims 2 (PS2), was actually based from a real-life band named Paramore. The single's title was "Pressure" Very nice song IMHO. (YouTube video by rubbertoe619.)
PARAMORE
"Pressure"
All We Know is Falling
Tell me where our time went
And if it was time well spent
Just don't let me fall asleep
Feeling empty again
Cause I fear I might break
and I fear I can't take it
Tonight I'll lie awake feeling empty
I can feel the pressure
It's getting closer now
We're better off without you
I can feel the pressure
It's getting closer now
We're better off without you
Now that I'm losing hope
And there's nothing else to show
For all of the days that we spent
Carried away from home
Some things I'll never know
And I had to let them go
I'm sitting all alone feeling empty
I can feel the pressure
It's getting closer now
We're better off without you
I can feel the pressure
It's getting closer now
We're better off without you
Without you
Some things I'll never know
And I had to let them go
Some things I'll never know
And I had to let them go
I'm sitting all alone feeling empty
I can feel the pressure
It's getting closer now
We're better off without you
Feel the pressure
It's getting closer now
You're better off without me
Waaaa, GamesMaster Philippines no more! I've been buying the mag for almost two years, and now its game over for them. Still to buy their FINAL issue. Good luck to team GM. T_T
Please, can anyone help me? Does anyone have the music from Sims 2 radio stations? Particularly the Pop genre. Since my PC's not that high-end, I'm playing my Sims 2 on the PlayStation 2 (I knew there's a big difference.) I tried to search P2P and everything else but no success. The Simlish music's has gotten into me, I dunno why.
Update: See the above post for more, I learned something!
At last my tBlog got a nice update, version 3.0. Here are some of the changes:
Increased the blog width, new color theme, header image and favicon!
Added a plethora of my most-visited links, check out the left pane
Added a chatterbox (feel free to add comments), a minigame (enjoy), and increased the size of the YouTube video clip (Microclip no more!)
Added my Yahoo! Messenger online/offline status
Fixed some code, etc. More updates to come...
I went back to school afternoon, cash-strapped, to get my grades. Thank heavens I was able to survive another trimester, passed remarks and mixed reactions. Nearing to completion. Oh well, I guess that crappy "music video" really helped, hehe.
Went to the 27th Manila International Book Fair, my first time. Being a self-confessed bookworm, I was totally in awe seeing all those kinds of books, local and foreign, old and new, all in one floor! Unfortunately I wasn't able to buy one, 'coz I keep on searching but can't find what I'm looking for, alas. The ones that caught my attention were the latest reference annuals, Guinness World Records 2007 and Russell Ash's Top 10 of Everything, how geeky I am. Although there's more like manga, magazines, comics, various publications, references, children's books, etcetera. The book fair will run 'til Sunday, wish I could go back and grab something interesting to read. :D
